Sherman Oaks, California
41 condo units with leaking windows and decks, including retrofitted windows, from a $1.5 Million rehabilitation. The HOA of a 30+ year old building hired a contractor to rehabilitate the condominium building, including removal and replacement of all windows and sliding doors with vinyl windows, resurfacing the decks, and plumbing. After charging the HOA over $1 million, the contractor eventually walked off the job having done the work improperly and without finishing his work under the contract. The contractor left the entire building with leaking windows and decks which have caused interior damage to a number of the units.

Chino Hills, California
Suing Home Depot for defective remodeling. Home Depot contracted with homeowners purporting to use "professional installers." Original Home Depot "installer" left homeowner with leaks before losing license and closing shop. Second "installer" added work which added new leaks. Allegations of improper design and construction and failure to provide proper management and oversight resulting in excess of $60,000 damages.

Starting in 2004, JTS Communities installed defective seepage pit and septic systems in a 1200 acre rural development. The seepage pits are collapsing because an experimental design was used and the developer refuses to do repairs pursuant to SB800 procedures.
