Gordon C. Mears, Esquire

Mr. Gordon Mears is the lead associate attorney in the Antelope Valley office of Anderson & Kriger with a focus on construction defect litigation.

Prior to Anderson & Kriger, Mr.  Mears was an associate attorney at the Law Firm of Isaacs & Clouse in Santa Monica, California, where he worked in business litigation including leasing, contract, real estate, business torts and class actions.

While there, he represented plaintiffs regarding inverse condemnation, easement and breach of contract disputes leading to multi-million dollar judgments and recovery; represented buyers and sellers regarding breach of real estate purchase agreements and lis pendens proceedings; and private property owners in restrictive land-use regulatory disputes with municipalities. On the contracts side, he represented lessors in equipment and software leasing disputes; independent contractors/licensors in personal services and intellectual property license disputes; manufacturers and licensors in licensing and infringement disputes; investors in securities sales/brokerage, breach of fiduciary duty disputes; landowners and; developer/contractor in construction/renovation disputes.

Other employment included Interim Legal Personnel in Los Angeles as a contract attorney and legal assistant specializing in discovery; Berkeley Community Law Center as a law clerk in the Homeless Outreach Project; Legal Aid Society of Alameda County as a law clerk and; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Los Angeles as a legal assistant specializing in computer litigation support.

Mr.  Mears was admitted to the California State Bar in 1994, the U.S. District Court - Central District and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit in 1995.

William M. Sickinger, Esquire

Mr. Sickinger is on the Construction Defect Litigation Team in the Riverside office. He joined A & K in early 1996 at the Temecula office in the Construction Defect Department and has been involved in some Homeowner Association General Counsel work at both the Temecula and Ontario offices.

Bill Sickinger received his Juris Doctor from the California Southern Law School at Riverside and his Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of California, Riverside, where he was on the Dean's List for eight quarters.

Previous to Mr. Sickinger's legal education, his career was focused on the insurance industry where he enrolled in numerous seminars on Title Law, Title Officer Training, Title Insurance Training including Real Property and Escrow instruction. From 1986 to 1994 he was employed at Chicago Title Insurance in Riverside as a Certified Title Examiner where he used his excellent research and investigative skills to assess parcels of real property and the various documents and parties associated with real property management.

Minh Ta-Dinh, Esquire

Minh is on the Construction Defect Litigation Team in the Riverside Office. She attended the University of California at Irvine where she earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. Minh received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.

During law school, Minh volunteered at the Homeless Shelter Legal Clinic and worked with the San Diego Public Defender's Office handling felony arraignment. Minh served on the Honor Court, the Executive Board of the Diversity Committee, and was Social Chair for the Student Bar Association. Minh also diversified her experience while attending law school. During the summer after her first year, she clerked for Judge Nancy Oesterle at the Las Vegas Justice Court. She later served as a Certified Legal Intern at the San Diego Public Defender's Office for Dependency. Minh began her legal career with internships prior to attending law school. She worked at the Orange County Public Defender's Office in the Juvenile Justice Center and Orange County Counsel's Office for Mental Health & Probate. In her free time, Minh enjoys traveling, playing the piano, and high-skill acrobatics. Minh is fluent in Vietnamese and conversant in Spanish.

Gerald S. Sherwin, Esquire

Mr. Sherwin joined Anderson & Kriger in 2011 as part of the Construction Defect Litigation Team in the La Mesa office. Gerald received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.

Prior to joining Anderson & Kriger, Gerald was a law clerk for the Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration. He worked out of the San Diego Field Office where he handled the prosecution of civil enforcement and regulatory matters, and employment matters on behalf of the Agency. Mr. Sherwin also worked as a staff attorney at a law firm assisting with securities class action cases. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2010 and the U.S. District Court, Southern District, in 2011.
